My name is STEVE VAILLANCOURT. I am a versatile GRAPHIC DESIGNER with extensive experience in document layout, typography, book publishing, and graphic design. My experience includes book layout for major publishers like Pearson, Houghton-Mifflin and McGraw-Hill. I have been a lead production artist working on standards-based assessments. I have experience with tradeshow deliverables like large-format vinyl banners, window clings, large format signage, and tradeshow booth graphics for national and international tradeshows like IPPE (International Production & Processing Expo), IWF (International Woodworking Fair®), and DellWorld16.
Throughout my career, I have been an integral member of several successful print and production teams. I am very proficient in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat with experience in other creative suite applications. I have mentored others on many graphics applications and procedures to increase workflow and create quality products.
As a freelance graphic designer, I have worked on various projects. Some projects include book layout, brochures, business cards, T-shirt designs, and greeting cards and stationery designs.
I am constantly learning new trends and technology to keep current in the graphic design field. Even though I am very familiar with Adobe Creative Suite/Creative Cloud—InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat; I strive to stay on top of any new developments with my frequently used tools. I also have experience with web design; using WordPress, HTML, CSS and Dreamweaver. Photography is another creative outlet that interests me and is a skill “in progress.” Additional information about my skills and experience can be found on the Résumé page.
