Executive Chef
For this project, I received a request to create a label/logo for an executive chef’s barbecue rub.
After our initial conversation, I quickly sketched out a couple ideas for this concept. The BBQ rub label concept was to include a chef hat as the main focal point and some assorted tools/gadgets around it. For the most part, I had artistic freedom to create his vision. My idea was to make the hat the central item and then work around it. I took a minimalist attitude towards the design. I wanted to create something that projected his product and brand in a clean fun way.
I decided on a couple of tools. Placed them behind the chef hat and included some silhouettes of animals commonly linked to grilling. Added the name and picked a single color making it easier to adapt to other marketing materials.
